TWO DAYS ORIENTATION/ADVOCAY & PLANNING WORKSHOP
A orientation/Advocacy workshop was being held today i-e Wednesday the
30th January 2008 from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm in the Academic Council Hall of
Chandka Medical College Larkana on the topic of Tuberculosis in
collaboration of National TB Control Programme (NTP), Government of
Pakistan and Mercy Corps Pakistan.
After recitation from Holy Quran, Principal CMC, Prof: Sikandar Ali Shaikh
welcomed the officers of NTP and the participants. Prof: Wazir Muhammad
Shaikh, Prof: Aijaz Ahmed Memom, Prof: Ghulam Akbar Solangi, Dr. Muhammad
Sharif Shaikh EDO Health Larkana, doctors from hospital side and other
doctors from various departments attended the workshop.
Dr. Abdul Karim Shaikh, Deputy Director PTP, Dr. Muzaffar Ali Khuharo, WHO
NPO and Mr. Tanveer Ahmed Bhanghar of Mercy Corp, organized, managed and
coordinates this workshop.
Total 51 doctors and other officials were invited for participation in the
Workshop on 1st day. Majority of doctors attended the briefings given by
officers of NTP and WHO. They also took part in discussions and suggested
some of measures for further improvement of TB Control.
On 31st
January 2008 another session for “TB-DOTS PLANNING WORKSHOP” will also be
conducted from 9.30 to 2.30 pm in same premises.
