UP-GRADATION OF LIBRARY AT CMC LARKANA

The Health Department, Government of Sindh has approved a scheme of up-gradation of CMC Library in Year 2005-06 with an amount of 17.304 Million. More than 75% of repair & renovation work is completed.

Following are the main components of Up-gradation of CMC Library.

(1) REPLACEMENT OF FURNITURE
(2) MEDICAL BOOKS
(3) JOURNALS
(4) DIGITAL LIBRARY
(5) REPAIR & RENOVATION OF LIBRARY


• The order for new Furniture ie Students Reading Tables and Chairs have been placed.

• To overcome the demand of students for latest editions of Text Books in the Library, the books of worth 4.0 Million have been purchased. All the students of College can get the books on loan basis from lending library. Hence there is no shortage of books in the library.

• Latest Medical Journals on various subjects have been procured to facilitate the students. About Twenty (20) National and International Journals have also been purchased and kept in main library.

• The total library accommodation is about 300 students. So to enhance the library capacity, the repair and renovation work has been started. A new portion of old I.T Department and its adjacent old canteen is being converted into new library hall. New air-conditions and Aluminum partitions have also been installed.
